Douglas Braun-Harvey

Douglas Braun-Harvey received his master's degree in counseling from National University in 1982. He has been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1982 and a Certified Group Psychotherapist since 1994. He founded The Sexual Dependency Institute of San Diego in 1993 where he provides outpatient treatment for men with out of control sexual behavior (OCSB). Mr. Braun-Harvey presents locally, nationally and internationally on issues of sexual health, out of control sexual behavior and group psychotherapy.

He is lecturing faculty at San Diego State University in the Masters in Counseling Program. From 2001-2005 he consulted wiht Stepping Stone of San Diego to create, design and implement the nations first sexual health relapse prevention program to improve chemical dependency treatment client retention rates and treatment outcomes.

His book Sexual Health in Drug and Alcohol Treatment: A relapse prevention curriculum will be published by Springer in July, 2009.

Dr. John Zervopoulos

John A Zervopoulos, Ph.D., J.D., ABPP, a psychologist and lawyer, directs PSYCHOLOGYLAW PARTNERS, a forensic consulting service that helps lawyers organize, critique and use social science information in their cases  for both the psychological and legal perspectives. In addition, his psychology practice focuses on forensic psychological evaluations, psychotherapy evaluations, psychotherapy and mediation with adults and children in family law cases.

Dr. Zervopoulos has written extensively and has presented to lawyers and mental health professionals on family law and Frye and Daubert topics. His book, Confronting Mental Health Evidence: A Practical Guide to Reliability and Experts in Family Law, was published by the American Bar Association in August, 2008.

Dr. Zervopoulos is a fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Psychology and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Zervopoulos received his B.A. from Wheaton College (IL.) in 1974, his Ph.D. in counseling/clinical psychology from the University of North Texas in 1981, and his J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1993. In 2002, he earned board certification in Forensic Psychology from the Americah Board of Professional Psychology.
